Older four-bedroom or new four-bedroom
A 1970s or 1980s four-bedroom in Liverpool or Amberlea gives you a broad lot, garage space for two vehicles and a mature street, with the bedrooms typically modest and the kitchen closed off unless someone has renovated. Expect to price in windows, a roof and possibly the furnace, and look at the basement, since many of these houses are unfinished below or were finished informally decades ago. A 2010s or 2020s four-bedroom in Duffin Heights or Seaton flips that: nine-foot ceilings, an open main floor, an ensuite for the principal bedroom and sometimes a second, but a lot that may be 30 to 36 feet wide with a small rear yard, and a builder's finish that the first owner has not always upgraded. New Seaton homes may still sit inside Tarion's coverage, and some of the townhouse forms carry a POTL fee for a shared lane, so check the fee line on the listing.
