Two Oshawas in one weekend
Pair your visits by age of housing. In the older south and central pockets, Lakeview, Vanier, Central, O'Neill and McLaughlin, use the open house to inspect what a listing photo hides: knob-and-tube or aluminum wiring in a pre-war home, a basement that has been finished over an old moisture problem, a shared driveway, and the sound of the rail corridor or Simcoe Street from the bedroom. In the newer north, Windfields, Kedron, Taunton and Northglen, the questions are about the lot and the plan: what the empty land behind the fence is zoned for, whether the road will connect through, how the builder finished the basement and whether Tarion coverage is still running. Carry the listing sheet, note whether an offer date is set, and if you are working with Randy or Alexander, say so at the door.
