Where West Shore sits
West Shore is the southwest corner of Pickering, held between Petticoat Creek on the west, Frenchman's Bay on the east, Highway 401 on the north and Lake Ontario on the south. Bayly Street crosses the top of the community near the Whites Road interchange, and West Shore Boulevard drops from Bayly to the lake with Oklahoma Drive, Park Crescent, Eyer Drive and Sunrise Avenue branching off it. The bayfront streets were historically called Fairport, a name that survives in the local public school.
